Art In the Garden

Jesse, (she/her) is a poet, visual artist residing in unceded land of both Anishnabe in Michigan and Abenaki in Vermont. She studied poetry at Vermont College. Her book Native was published in 2020. She was a participating fellow of Nature Culture's Writing the Land Project, with poems in the anthologies, Windblown 1, Migration and Home. She has poems in Plant and Poetry and Blue, Humana Obscura and The Sea Letter. She has been teaching classes for PoemCity in Montpelier for 15 years. Botanical Drawing In the Garden

Join us to draw botanicals in the lovely gardens of White Dove Herbal Sanctuary, in the midst of acres of beautiful flowers and herbs. We will learn drawing skills as well as time to connect, listen and draw details, shapes and color of your chosen herb or flower
Class Fee: $35.00, Bring cash or check
Supplies:
Pencils, Pad, Eraser ( optional)
Art medium of your choice! Ex: Colored pencils, water colors, waxed water color pastels with water
brush
Bring:
Sun hat, Sunscreen, Insect repellant, Water/snack, A seat, chair or cushion
Poetry In the Garden

Join us in quiet reflection at White Dove Herbal Sanctuary. Jesse LoVasco is offering space to observe botanicals while listening to readings from published poets. You will come away with practices to inspire writing your own poems.
Bring: Sunhat and sunscreen, pens, writing pad, water bottle, something to sit on.
